In February 2004, Simplex Construction Management Inc. began its 3-year Project Management Consultant (PMC) contract with Orange County Transportation (OCTA) for Project Management Services. To date, Simplex has been involved with various projects within OCTA including:
- LNG Venting System, Anaheim and Garden Grove Bus Bases
- Structural Evaluation of Multiple Buildings, Anaheim, Garden Grove, and Irvine Bus Bases
- Dewatering, Gauging, and Sampling of Groundwater Monitoring Wells, Irvine Bus Base
- Underground Storage Tanks (UST) Modifications (Piping
- System), Irvine, Garden Grove, and Anaheim Bus Bases
- Maintenance Building Modification, Irvine Bus Base
- Hazardous Material Survey, Irvine Bus Base
- Seismic Retrofit of Annex Building, Garden Grove Bus Base
In August 2004, Simplex Construction Management Inc. began its contract with the Coast Community College District (CCCD) in Orange County. Simplex is providing Program and Construction Management for the Measure āCā Bond to alleviate overcrowding and improve aging facilities. The money from Measure āCā, a $370 Million bond issue approved by the voters in November 2002, will be used to replace of upgrade deteriorating buildings and to improve campus safety, computer systems, and other technology. Currently, Simplex is providing CM/PM support services for:
- Planning and Preconstruction
- Student Center Remodeling
- Tenant Improvement Library
- Concrete Repair
Based upon the performance on the initial contract and successfully managing the projects, the district has recently extended our services contract for all Phase-I bonds funded projects, expected to go through June, 2006.
September 2004, Simplex Construction Management Inc. completed its 3 year contract with Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) for the Cross Connection Prevention Program. Over the past 3 years, Simplex has provided MWD project controls, cost estimating, and scheduling services.
February 2005, Simplex Construction Management, Inc. has been selected by the California Department Of Veteran Affairs, Real Estate Services Department (RESD) to provide construction program/ project management services for the design and construction of 3-new southern California Veteran Homes planned for in the communities of West Los
